 Good morning everyone and a very warm welcome to the new members. I would like this to be a group where we share ideas on skill improvement, and learning opportunities within the Data Science community and learning from each other. Here’s a round-up of webinar events and meet-ups for Data Scientists. Business Analytics Institute has no affiliation with these organisations. I just thought they would be good opportunities to improve skills and keep up to date with the industry. Feel free to share with anyone you know who would be interested in these webinars.

In these series, I will share Data Science events from around Europe, webinars, conferences. These are opportunities to meet other data science professionals. Today I have meet ups that meet regularly for coffee, chat, presentations, networking covering various big data based in London. Next week I'll have some more from cities around Europe. 

I also have a webinar on hands on data analysis using Python by CambridgeSpark. I feel webinars are flexible because you can attend them from anywhere as along as you have access to the internet (and the time zone is not too crazy). Again, there is no affiliation to Business Analytics Institute, but I think this a good learning opportunity for those interested in hands-on experience in processing data and it's FREE. I will try as much as I can to post free webinars but some organisations do ask for fee. If you attend any of these, please come back and share you experience with the group!

DataKind UK

DataKind UK is a meetup for the United Kingdom chapter of DataKind, a community of data scientists and non-profits working together to better collect, analyze, and visualize data in the service of humanity. DataKind encourages local meetups to share ideas, collaborate across communities, discuss new tools and practices, and help bring about a better world through data for social causes. The group meets regularly for drinkups, speaker series, and social events.

Exploratory Data Analysis in Python

A hands-on webinar talk given by Patrick Short a teaching fellow at Cambridge Spark on Exploratory data analysis, pre-processing, and feature engineering This webinar will use python to illustrate a number of tools and strategies to take an unprocessed data set (such as one that you might find online or receive from a colleague) and do exploratory analysis, clean the data, and engineer features to feed to machine learning algorithms.
